Ladies’ Night at Purgatory Golf Club

Our Ladies’ night events for the year 2012 dates are as follows (all Tuesdays):

Cost is $25.00 per visit

Events will offer special discounts, free lessons and fun contests. The past four years our Ladies’ night events were a huge success. Every ladies night was well attended.

What

Purgatory Golf Club is happy to host several ladies-only evenings of fun on the fairway to celebrate its ranking as one of the 50 Best Golf Courses for Women by Golf for Women magazine (July/August 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008). We were the only course in Indiana to receive the honor. Purgatory Golf Club invites all women golfers (no skill level or golf experience required) to its Ladies’ Night events. It is a nine-hole scramble format with prizes for team low gross, closest to the pin and straightest, and longest drive. Included are greens fees on nine holes, free golf clinics, ladies-only pro shop discounts, equipment demonstrations, clothing trunk shows, wine, cheese, punch, vegetable trays, and more.

When

Ladies nights are on select Tuesdays in April, May, June, July, August, September and October

On select evenings there are different events sometimes including golf clinics, including free golf lessons and equipment manufacturer demonstrations, putting contest, and sportswear trunk shows.

9-hole round of golf (shotgun starts– tee time required). Purgatory provides complimentary balls for driving range practice, unlimited use of practice facilities, and light snacks and beverages throughout the evening. Ladies can test their skills in a number of on-course contests such as Closest to the Pin and Longest Drive.

(From Indianapolis, take 69 North to 37 North. Follow 37 for about 15-20 minutes. Turn right on 216th Street. The golf course entrance is located one mile down the street on the left.)

Cost

Ladies’ Night is $25 per person (includes cart), clinics, balls, wine and snacks, and prizes. The regular cost for nine holes and a range bag is $36, making Ladies Night a wondeful golf bargain that all enjoy.

Who

Tenna Merchent, co-owner of Purgatory played a significant role in the design of the course, taking care to ensure the course and the forward tees were built with as much attention as the back tees. To best accommodate golfers, Purgatory offers three on-course restrooms, so golfers never have to go more than four holes before passing a restroom. Merchent also added her woman’s touch to the selection of pro shop merchandise. Female players can choose from a number of lines of ladies golf apparel, including the latest Nike and Adidas fashions,Tehama and E.P. Pro.
